Got Jesus?

God's Plan of Salvation

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

God Loves You And Has A Plan To Save You!

God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you which includes salvation. "For God so loved Man and Godthe world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."  John 3:16-18

Sin causes separation from God. "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:2

Look at this animated graphic. It is a graphic demonstration of how we are separated from God and how Jesus allows us to have a relationship with God.

All people are sinners and must be saved by grace through faith in Jesus.

"This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:22-24

Sin leads to death but the gift of God is eternal life.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

Through the years humans have tried to find their own way to God through good works, religion, philosophy, and morality but none of these will bring a person closer to God. Since we are unable to come to God, God provided the solution--Jesus and His death on the cross.

Jesus became the ransom for all men.

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time." 1 Timothy 2:5-6

While we were still sinners, Jesus died for you.

"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the unGodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!" Romans 5:6-9

You must believe in Jesus to be saved.

"He then brought them out and asked, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." Acts 16:30-31

God has provided the only solution... now you must make the choice.

You must learn how to trust in Jesus and receive him into your life.

"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12

"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

Is there any good reason why you cannot receive Jesus right now?

How to receive Jesus:

1. Admit your need (I am a sinner).

2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent--ask God to forgive your sins with a sincere heart).

3. Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.

4. Through prayer, invite Jesus to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

What to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In your name, Jesus. Amen.

This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Jesus.

To deepen this relationship you should:

1. Find a mature Christian friend who can help you grow as a believer in Jesus.

2. Read your Bible every day to get to know Jesus better.

3. Talk to God in prayer every day.

4. Tell others about Jesus.

5. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Jesus and the Bible are preached.

6. As Jesus' representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.

May our Lord bless you and keep you strong in faith and comforted in His love.

Please let me know if you have made a decision.
