"God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." Galatians 6:14
In the Cross of Christ I Glory is a nice hymn that is often sung around Easter.
This hymn was written by John Bowring and Ithamar Conkey. The tune name is Rathbun. The first verse is below.
In the cross of Christ I glory,
Towering o'er the wrecks of time;
All the light of sacred story
Gathers round it's head subline.
The 4 Hymns Series is designed to be flexible enough to allow any combination of instruments to play and still provide a quality sound. Each piece in the 4 Hymns Series has a melody and three harmony parts. The 4th part is usually a bass type harmony but my goal is to make all three harmony parts playable with the melody and still make a decent duet. The 2nd and 3rd part are also playable with the melody and any other part for a duet or trio. The idea is to give you the flexibility to mix and match parts and instrumentation so you can arrange the song they way you want it to be. Each 4 Hymns Series song is transposed for most if not all possible instruments (treble and bass clef).
